The Street Bob serves as a great starting point for customization, and now along with the 1200 Custom it can be personalized through H-D1 Factory Customization with options selected by the customer using the online Bike Builder on Harley-Davidson.com, and installed as the motorcycle is assembled by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. By choosing from different wheels, paint and engine finishes, the customer can dramatically alter the look of the motorcycle. Different combinations of foot-control location, seat choices and handlebar can be selected to adjust the fit of the motorcycle to rider stature.

Hard Candy Custom embraces a trend that’s reemerged from garages around the globe. Now the sparkle of Hard Candy Big Red Flake, Hard Candy Lucky Green Flake and Hard Candy Coloma Gold Flake can be ordered as Original Equipment paint and serve as the foundation for personal customization. At least one Hard Candy Custom color will be offered on these Harley-Davidson motorcycle models: Seventy-Two™, Street Bob®, Blackline®, Softail® Deluxe, and Forty-Eight™. New and recently introduced Genuine Motor Accessory and Harley-Davidson® MotorClothes® items extend the Hard Candy Custom theme. (See separate release for more details on Hard Candy Custom.)

The 2013 CVO™ series of limited-production premium custom motorcycles features the new CVO™ Breakout®, a bold Softail® model that takes production motorcycle finishes to a new level with two paint schemes that feature hand-polished steel sections on the fuel tank and fenders. The CVO™ Road King® offers the first factory-installed Road King® audio system, and the new detachable Vented Wind Splitter windshield. The super-premium touring CVO™ Ultra Classic® Electra Glide® and shark-nose CVO™ Road Glide® Custom bagger return with new features for 2013. The versatile Harley-Davidson® Sportster® line includes five models, plus the Sportster® 1200 Custom Anniversary Edition. New colors and graphics are offered on all Sportster® models.

The traditional “hard tail” lines of the Harley-Davidson Softail® platform are offered on six models, including the Softail® Slim™, a back-to-basics 1950′s-style bobber introduce mid-year 2012. The 2013 Fat Boy® now features Mirror Chrome Aluminum Bullet Hole Disc wheels as standard equipment. The Softail® line also includes Heritage Softail® Classic Anniversary Edition and the Fat Boy® Lo Anniversary Edition.

Eight Harley-Davidson® Touring models, from the slammed-and-trimmed Street Glide® to the fully equipped Electra Glide® Ultra Limited, are ready to tackle the long road with fresh color and graphics options. What is being hailed as the “largest federal bust of alleged g*** activity in Indianapolis’ history,” just went down at the Outlaws Motorcycle Club’s clubhouses in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Gary.

Evidently SWAT members cleared the way this morning for FBI and local authorities to come in and search the clubhouses and surrounding blocks.  Evidence was boxed up and motorcycles removed from the premises’, but with the court documents remaining sealed, we are unsure as to exactly what the feds are looking for.  However, we do know that there were 43 arrests warrants issued and ranges in charges from Racketeering to Mail Fraud.  We also know that more than 300 federal and local law enforcement agents were involved in the bust.

Keith and Amber Britton were struck from behind on their motorcycle by an SUV slowing down to approach a red traffic signal in Port Orange, Florida. The SUV was said to be driven by a 64-year-old woman. Keith was seriously injured and Amber was killed.  The couple traveled to all the major motorcycle events to promote their patented Diamond Heads process. This year, while at the Daytona Rally, they were promoting their new line of Diamond Heads diamond-cut motorcycle accessories that are intended for use with motors that already have the patented Diamond Heads process on their cylinders and cylinder heads.

It is a huge loss to the motorcycle community and our hearts go out to Keith and the entire Britton Family.

5^th Annual Biker Fusion Benefits Soldiers’ Angels

March 15th Lineup Includes R. Lee Ermey and Victory Motorcycles

(March 1, 2012—Daytona Beach, FL)  When event promoters Carrie Repp of R&R Promotions and Ken Conte of Rise Above Consulting first launched their “Biker Fusion” fundraiser after Repp’s 10 year run of the Biker’s Ball, they had no idea how much the motorcycle industry and other enthusiasts would embrace the idea of a benefit during Daytona Beach Bike Week for a great cause. In their fifth year and after more than $60,000 raised, Conte and Repp are in awe of the industry’s support as their 5^th Annual Biker Fusion fundraiser comes together on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Doghouse Bar and Grill on Main Street in Daytona.

This year’s event features a presentation of a custom Victory Motorcycles to legendary Marine and Drill Instructor R. Lee Ermey, a.k.a. “Gunny.” Victory will reveal a custom motorcycle designed and painted by the Victory Industrial Design staff that “Gunny” can ride on all his upcoming rides. The fundraiser will once again benefit Soldiers’ Angels, a volunteer-led non-profit that provides aid and comfort to active servicemen and women of the U.S. military as well as veterans and their families. Rally TV will provide red-carpet video coverage of the event.

“We’re overwhelmed and humbled by the response we’ve gotten from the motorcycle industry. We’re grateful to our myriad in-kind sponsors, and to Victory Motorcycles and San Diego Harley-Davidson stepping up as new sponsors. The donations for our auction and raffle are a great demonstration of the generosity of this community and the spirit of Daytona Bike Week,” says Ken Conte, event organizer and owner of Rise Above Consulting. “People enjoy the event because it gives motorcycle enthusiasts the opportunity to rub elbows with an impressive list of world-class, A-List builders, industry leaders and celebrities, while raising money for an outstanding cause.”
