I first spoke to Shawn Barber a few years ago when I invited him to participate in an exhibition at the University where I teach.  He accepted and, while he was unable to attend the opening, I have had the luxury of following his career on-line.

Shawn has had much success in recent years, turning out a few incredible bodies of work and putting in his time as a professor, and now he is taking his educational podium to the masses via the Internet.  This Saturday, Barber will give an on-line, streaming course dealing with what it takes to get yourself out there and begin building a career as an artist.

Personally, I teach a similar course at the University and I would still love to participate in Barber’s class.  There is so much to learn from each new artist and everyone’s experiences are different.  That being said, if you are interested in getting into the art world, or if you are already an “emerging” artist and need to take it to the next level, drop in this Saturday and get an education.
