I just love the boys at Choppertown Nation and think what they do is simply swell… and now they do more than movies and building community, they host on-line bike shows!  You may have participated last year… or you may have been building the past 11 months just for this occasion.  Regardless, get out there and get your bike shown.  You will be happy you did.

It’s that time again!  We’re holding our second annual Online Backyard

Build Bike Show!

Simple rules, cool prizes, ANYONE can enter (and just look too.)

1. We’re not really into categories, but here’s the three we decided on:

Chopper, Bobber, and Cafe.

2. Post two (2) pics under the appropriate category and tell us something about the build.

*(The best way is to post your pics using the little camera button above. Try to keep the pics 500 pixels wide so everyone can see

them easily.  If pics are too huge they may be deleted!)*

3. The bike MUST have been built by you or your buddies in your backyard or garage.

4. Pics can be posted for the next ten days: Aug 31st-Sept 10th, 2010.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each category:

1st place gets a Lick’s solo bag (Chopper and Bobber class), Set of

Lick’s bar end mirrors (Cafe class), Guilty Customs seat pan, Harbortown Bobber Dickies

workshirt, Lick’s jellies, and One World Tour DVD!

2nd place gets Dickies workshirt, Lick’s Jellies, and One World Tour DVD!

3rd place gets Dickies workshirt and One World Tour DVD!

Special Mention gets a Biltwell lid.

Happy Spring everyone!  I know that the weather doesn’t really care what day it is, but I hope that your first day of spring is beautiful, sunny, warm, and the only wind is the wind you make by cutting through a nice piece of asphalt on your sled.

For those of us in Texas, spring means Bluebonnet season, the Texas flower.  Hope you get out and enjoy the day.

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 14, 2008 – RockMoto, a new Web site launching Dec. 5, explores the emotional power of motorcycling and music – and aims to get more young people on two wheels the right way.

RockMoto will offer webisodes with musicians and other artists who ride, including members of Angels & Airwaves, The Bravery and Incubus. “Motorcycle riding is rock and roll,” says Jason Freese, keyboard player for Green Day and a featured guest on RockMoto. “It’s that euphoria that only a motorcycle can bring you.”

Thanks to a partnership with Internet radio giant Pandora, RockMoto will offer two unique motorcycling-inspired radio stations streaming via the Pandora player. The site will also feature user-generated videos, playlists and riding stories, information about safety courses and protective gear, a bike comparison tool for new riders and a social network with user profiles. “Music and motorcycling aren’t just pastimes; they’re a defining part of our psyche,” says Jessica Prokup, host and webmaster. “We’re looking to build a community of two-wheel and music enthusiasts who bring that passion to life.”

Registered users can find new music and interact with fellow two-wheelers and music lovers through comments, messages, videos and personal playlists. More information is available at

Created by Discover Today’s Motorcycling, RockMoto is kicking off a pre-launch registration campaign with gear autographed by Angels & Airwaves, free Motorcycle Safety Foundation training and free music gift cards for All site users who register at before Dec. 5 are eligible to win.
