BadAss Jewelry has done it again with a beautiful new ring for that biker on your list this holiday season. This skull ring is made from .925 pure sterling silver and has a wonderfully substantial weight that feels great on the finger. The cigar chomping skull looks like it has been through the ringer with cracks in the dome, but we know that this tough little bugger has a lot of life left in him by the glint in his eye. That glint is projected by a Cubic Zirconia stone in the left eye socket, which catches the light and rivals any chrome piece you might have on your bike.
Craftsmanship is wonderful as it is with all of BadAss’ products. There are nice lines on the side of the ring that are reminiscent of the design on so many sugar skulls that are popular at the moment. However, the design is different enough to stand the test of time and still be decorative without being dated in another five, 10, or 20 years.
As with all of the products available at BadAss, this masculine ring is a hand crafted with the finest detail. And as you probably know, I am a bit of a biker ring snob… so if I would wear it, you can be sure that you would be proud to wear it. And at a steal of a price you will want to head over there now to order yours. This ring retails for $232 but they are offering it up for under $90. And something that I did not know is that they offer engraving too. That is a pretty cool feature, especially if you are giving this ring to a friend or club brother and want to make it a little more special.
The crew at BadAss Jewelry is very helpful and easy to work with. Jump over to their site and you will find a downloadable and printable ring sizer and answers to any of your questions. You can also get on their e-mail list where you will become the recipient of really fantastic coupon codes for ordering… for example, today is December 2nd. If you order a steel skull ring with the code CE432 you will get a $15 discount… but you have to order TODAY! And if you are interested in a Motorcycle Chain Bracelet and use the code CT337 you will get $10 off the price… but you have to order that item before Saturday… so get over there now. Oh, and happy holiday shopping!
My good friend and artist behind Nino925 is hard at work and has just announced a few new pieces that are available on his website www.nino925.com. For all of you loyal readers, you will recognize Frank Zubieta as the brilliant mind behind the custom ArtBiker ring. If you have not seen this beautiful piece of work, please check out the older posts as we followed the creation.
Since taking a little time off to create my custom bling, Nino has gotten back into the studio and created a few new pieces that are available to the public. And what better to offer than… MORE SKULLS!
In my opinion, Frank has some of the best skull designs out there and he has really topped himself this time around. He has just introduced the “Rockstar Skull Ring” and this piece is a heavyweight beauty. Weighing in at 80 grams of pure sterling silver, this is the ultimate in investment jewelry. And as Frank says, “if you’re only gonna war one ring, this is the one.”
If the Rockstar is a little out of your range, then don’t despair; you are not left in the cold. For a very reasonable price you can wear the “Nino Signature Skull Ring.” This piece is no run of the mill piece either and at 30 grams, has a really great feel and comfort. Plus, the investment value is still there as there will only be 99 of these beauties made! The collector value alone is higher than the price of admission here folks.
And don’t forget the lady in your life. My gal loves skulls and Nino has created custom work for her in the past. One thing that he is introducing now that would thrill her is the sterling silver crossbone skull chocker. Hand crafted with the level of skill and attention to detail that has become expected from Zubieta, the chocker is a beautiful piece that is large enough to be noticed and still in the right size range to be comfortable to wear on the regular… I know my gal will slip it on with that low cut black number and go out on the town to tempt the boys… gotta love her.
Be sure to visit Nino’s website to see all the latest designs and remember that for a limited time, Frank has offered a discount to ArtBiker World readers… put in the promo code “artbiker” when you order. And if you are looking to have something custom made, remember that Nino is your man.
I brought the package into the house… my girls were already in bed and my Ol’ Lady was doing her own thing. The box caught her eye immediately and she perked right up, “What did we get?” Well, I didn’t really now what we got. We occasionally get packages in the mail that we are not really expecting and sometimes we expect things that never seem to come… but that is another story.
This time the package was coming from an on-line jeweler and I really didn’t know what to expect. I had been approached about doing a review of a product or two, and after searching over the site, I chose a few things that caught my eye and simply said, “Surprise me.”
I tore into the packaging and there were two ebony colored boxes with edgy script on the lids. As I opened the box, the light danced on the silver item inside. All I heard was Little D say, “Bad Ass!” Had she not had such tone to her voice, I would have thought she was reading the box instead of making an exclamation. But I knew she was speaking about the skull ring that the box contained. Wings flanking the sides and three spikes running down the forehead make for a killer design. The ring really is Bad Ass, which is a beautiful thing as it comes from Bad Ass Jewelry.
The second box had the Ol’ Lady in a tizzy. She was jumping around the kitchen as she slid the sterling silver and onyx ring onto her hand. You would think she just got a new rock to go in her wedding ring!
We sat down to inspect the new items and I must say that the quality and craftsmanship were both top notch. In fact, the quality of the winged skull ring is actually much better looking than the images that are on-line. For some reason, the product shots just don’t quite capture the substance and feel of the ring when it is on your finger. And the details are wonderful.
I have had the ring for a few weeks now and have been wearing it out with my club brothers to our local haunts. It seems to get noticed quite a bit and I have received many compliments. I have not had a single negative reaction, which is good because anyone on the receiving end of a smack down with this ring on would be in a mess of trouble. Truth be known, I have to wear the ring on my left hand as I keep my keys in my right pocket and cannot dig them out without catching the spikes on the fabric of my jeans. That is ok with me, however, as my left jab could use a little sumpin’ sumpin’ and this ring just makes it all the more affective.
D has worn her ring out and all the ladies in her Mom’s Group have been fawning over it. They can’t quite come to terms with the fact that it came from the same folks who brought the skull ring, and I think this is one of the highpoints of Bad Ass Jewelry. You see, when I was first approached, I must have spent two or three hours pouring over the site, looking at every single piece they had available, comparing them to one another and to rings I have seen on other sites. The conclusion I came to is that I think they, obviously, have a really nice and well-rounded selection of biker related rings, but they have so much more. There are skulls, iron crosses, pendants, earrings, silver, gold, stingray, leather, and they even engrave photos onto items like dog tags! What we have here is a shop that really lives up to its name. The Bad Ass Crew have amassed some of the coolest and “Baddest ass” jewelry and make it all available to you at www.BadAssJewelry.com. Heck, they even have the same wedding ring I bought six years ago for my big day… and I know it costs less on the Bad Ass Jewelry website.
So, check them out when you are looking for anything that is cool… weather it be biker related or just something a little edgy and cool, Bad Ass has got you covered. They offer you a 30 day, no questions asked return policy so you can rest assured you will get what you want, and they folks will drop you a note as soon as your item ships so that you can be expecting your fancy black box in the mail.
