It is Saturday night and I have just rolled into the driveway… boy, am I ever filthy!  I have been at the New Orleans’ Bike Week since Wednesday night and headed back a day early to surprise the Ol’ Lady for Mother’s Day.  Of course, she is not home at the moment, but I am sure she will be happy when she rolls up.  It seems like it was a particularly dirty day on the highway and I am going to grab a shower… but first, an update on the trip word probeversion herunterladen!

The week was great and I have to thank the entire BikeWeek.com crew for their hospitality.  The event started with the opportunity to ride on the Budweiser wagon behind all those beautiful Clydesdales.  Then, the media folks like myself, got a quick tour of the show and a private viewing of the Wall of Death.  Very nice touch guys.  After that, we were on our own jump and run kostenlos downloaden.

During the week, I was able to take in the vendors, meet and party with bike builders, eat fantastic Cajun food, name a drink, visit with friends, check out some amazing bikes, and get in some R&R.

The first thing I want to mention is that the event is very well thought out.  You will notice that everything is in one central location.  Now, this differs from many bike weeks, and some might say that a spread out show lends itself to riding.  This may be true, but the convenience of having everything close together (and within stumbling distance of your hotel) is really nice.  Plus, there were two amazing organized rides that get you in the spirit anyway download netflix movies pc windows 7.

The conference center has been recently renovated and was very, very nice.  Inside, bikers found famous bike builders, vendors, food, music, entertainment, a full on Easyriders Bike Show, and even free Wi-Fi (which may not be important to you, but to vendors and bloggers like Cyril Huze and myself, it is a real perk).  Just outside the doors and across the street was the new Broke Spoke Saloon.  Jay Allen has done an amazing job with this and it feels like home… There were great bands playing there as well as great food.  Some of the best foods of any rally, really.  Perhaps I just like Cajun, but everything seemed tasty and not too expensive (compared to the price gouging of everything at the local quickie mart) sims 3 für mac download kostenlos.

There were two poker runs, one that took you to four plantations and another that took you to a party on the plantation that is pictured on the bottle of Southern Comfort.  Talk about a good time!  Both runs ended with bike give-always (a sporty and a super glide), and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather avis rechnung online herunterladen.

There was a new event there that has never existed at a bike show, the Chrome Kitchen.  It was an Iron Chef style cooking competition between teams of bike builder and chef against bike builder and chef.  I am unsure as to who finally won, but know I did get to see a great competition between CJ and Chickie rawtherapee nederlands.  Good stuff.

So, would I do it all again… yup.  In fact, I think I might even perform weddings there next year!  I can say that it is one of the best-organized and full bike weekends out there and I think it will only get better.  As even more bikers show up, this Biker Marti Gras will really be a place to be.  Some critique?  Well, I would put the Chrome Kitchen up front and center so that everyone can enjoy it.  I would also bring in chef Biker Billy to fire up the crowd with his culinary delights.  Perhaps another ride or two could be introduced, or a biker tour of haunted places… something that is truly New Orleans.  Other than that, the Wall of Death, the great bands, the bikes… it is all a winning combination canon print app downloaden.

For those still there, enjoy the rest of the weekend… as for me, I am off to the Smoke Out in North Carolina after a rest stop at home for a Happy Mother’s Day with the Ol’ Lady happy color op number.

Love, Respect, and Ride Safe,

ArtBiker
